In 2025, Luxembourg joyfully marks the 25th anniversary of Grand Duke Henri’s accession to the throne on 7 October 2000. The celebrations, officially held from 21 to 23 June to coincide with National Day, include concerts by China Moses and Dee Dee Bridgewater, a dazzling sound-and-light show against the Grand Ducal Palace façade, torchlit processions, fireworks, military parades, and a solemn Te Deum at Notre‑Dame Cathedral. Commemorative coins will also be issued: a limited-edition €2 coin featuring the Grand Duke’s portrait before the palace and the inscription “25. Trounjubiläum vum Groussherzog Henri,” along with a gold one-ounce piece for collectors . These dignified yet festive tributes honour a quarter-century of his reign.
